He was executor for the estate of Maggie Howie - settler at Bloomfield North in 1900's Property was on south -eastern side of the now Nilma North Hall. Previous owners were Owen Brothers. Original selector H N Puttman. Howie family: father Robert, children were Eliza, Maggie and James Howie. Howie farm sold to I and E Mills in 1979.
