Copy of Book titled The Nugent Collection - Cyril Nugent Heritage Paper - the historical diary of a seaman who was Cyril James Nugent from Warragul. He was a stoker on board the HMAS Sydney which went down with all 645 personel on board during World War 2 in 1941 and the site was lost until discovered in 2008 off the coast of Western Australia..
The diary is hand-written of the events of the war after HMAS Sydney left Australia and joined the Mediterranean Fleet at Alexandria Egypt from april 1940 to april 1941.
Cyril James Nugent born 25th December, lost ini battle 19th November 1941. The diary reveals the triumphs and tragedies experienced aboard the sydney , The diary is hand-written and we hold the copy of the diary.
