Reverend risstrom began his ministry at Warragul in 1954. The churches in the Warragul Methodist Circuit were at Nilma, Ellinbank, Tetoora Road, Trida, Buln Buln, and Buln Buln East.
His weekly articles were printed in the Warragul Gazette under the pseudonym "Sentinel" and in the Warragul Guardian as "TheChurch Message" under his own name.
His ministry at Warragul was 1954f to 1959 and at Traralgon 1960 to 1961.

End of an Era. Sion Nuns to leave the area, have been associated with Warragul for 67 years.
Nuns were Sisters Judith, Julia, Mary, Angela, Margaret, Sylvester. The Convent College has a lay Principal Mr Ken Taylor. The Convent of Our lady of sion at Warragul was established in 1905 in a 7 roomed cottaage at the corner of witton and connor Streets.
The article lists first Sisters - St Josephs primary School.

From Dentist's Home to Private Hospital: A Century of Change

An article about an historic home originally built for dentist Percy Trood by Miller Bros in 1907 and was situated in Smith Street opposite the Warragul Post Office.
Later purchased by Alec Schindler, a butcher and then purchased by J J Murray, a property speculator.
also occupied as St Leonards Private Hospital - Nurse Kelly, Sister Shugg and then house was divided into sections with various occupiers.
Transported to Rokeby and became a private home. The article written by the current owner Mary Clare Terrill in 2022.
