  A letter received from Alan Clarkin from England with the offer of a book titled "Unto the third generation" written by his father of his World War 2 experiences which includes a section on a visit to Warragul in the 1940's. • Ken Hutchings' Covering Letter to James Howie's 1911 School Article
  1. Covering letter from Ken Hutchings to Secretary Malcolm Dickson WDHS. He was executor for the estate of Maggie Howie - settler at Bloomfield North in 1900's Property was on south -eastern side of the now Nilma North Hall. Previous owners were Owen Brothers. Original selector H N Puttman. Howie family: father Robert, children were Eliza, Maggie and James Howie. Howie farm sold to I and E Mills in 1979. 2. Article written in 1911 by James Howie - a photocopy of the orriginal. Received on 23.06.2021 the original article and a covering letter from Ken Hutchings. 3. Article has names mentioned - Bloomfield / Nilma, train and coach journey. Early Settlers: Beard, Irwin, Dawson, Tatem Moffatt, Saunders, Ellis, Judd, Barrow, Smitih, Whelan, Krosche., Puttman, Hall, Valpied, Williamson. Description of land. 1st station master was Mr G Gobbe. School Teachers - Miss Cameron, Mr Murphy, Miss Ross. In the 1880's the main road made and the first bridge over the Hazel creek.

  2 photocopies of Bloomfield factory at Warragul now showing Nev Moyle refrigeration, N and H Reeves photo engravers and commercial printers. Car park had previously had a house.   July, August, and September 2020 there was big controversy over the Ellinbank Football / Netball Club over trying to introduce poker machines at the Newmason Complex for fund raising. the application was withdrawn on the 3rd. September 1920.
