"A man who has enjoyed a very varied experience.
He has been a soldier in Austria, a contractor in Russia and a watchmaker in Cairo. The latter business is the one to which he served an apprenticeship.
He went to Omeo soon after his arrival in the Colony, and there he opened business as a watchmaker.
He opened and nicely furnished a comfortable studio, and his business has extended to such an extent that he intends devoting his whole attention to photography. He has done some really artistic work, and some of his scenic and landscape pictures have been reproduced in The Weekly times.
Lowenhardt moved to Fumina. He is the photographer of the Penny Family living in a tree."
