Patti Bailey's Memoir of Living at Warragul
A memoir of living at Warragul: Patti Bailey nee Boon was the daughter of the Shire Engineer at Warragul 1933 - 1941 and
1946 to 1951. Ben Boon built the family home at 8 Napier Street in 1938. A brick house in the inter-war Tudor Revival Style.
It had patterned brickwork to the main facade, patterned leadlight front windows, angled chimney, dormer window and a steeply pitched main roof. This house was destroyed by fire in 2024.
Patti has written about her childhood games when living in the home, the shops of Warragul she remembered.

Saunders Radio was originally in William Street Warragul and the first TV was sold to Ramsay Piggin.
From 1947 to 1957 at William Stret, 1957 to 1987 Napier Street - they sold over 5000 TV's
Major technician employee was Tom Ljubic.
